The Contour is our first-ever seat harness and great attention was placed in its design in order to address all the shortcomings of traditional seat harnesses (think: more like a climbing harness and less like a diaper). The key design element in the Contour is the sacrum adjustment plate, which utilizes Curv® material to bring our hard-shell harness DNA into a seat harness. From the outside, the Saber looks the same as our other Ride Engine harness—but look closer. Using the same proprietary data that created our Elite Carbon hard-shell shape, the frame of the Saber is actually a Structurally Engineered Shell of slightly softer composite material for the kitesurfer or windsurfer that wants a bit more freedom in their ride. The injected-molded shell has purpose-driven contours that deliver more torsional flex than the Elite Carbon and Lyte harnesses while still providing the full benefits of Lumbar Lock fit and that coveted Ride Engine locked-in feel. DAS MID FLEX TRAPEZ Die goldene Mitte. Das Saber liegt bezogen auf den Härtegrad zwischen den Modellen Elite und Momentum. Durch die aus Verbundmaterial im Spritzgussverfahren hergestellte Rückenplatte glänzt dieses Trapez mit intensiverem torsionalen Flex als das Elite und ist ebenso wie der unangefochtene Premium-Vertreter mit den innovativen Unity-Ladder-Lock-Straps ausgestattet. Damit nicht genug, haben wir das Gewicht des Trapezes für diese Saison um sagenhafte 25 Prozent reduziert. Leichtere Materialien treten hier in Symbiose mit einer Polsterung die noch weniger Wasser aufnimmt als bei den Vorgängermodellen. Die Konsequenz: In nassem Zustand liegt die Gewichtseinsparung sogar noch über den genannten 25 Prozent. Um den Tragekomfort und den Support zu erhöhen fallen die Kantenbereiche des Trapezes breiter aus, während die jetzt mit Gurtband abgenähten Kanten der Klettlaschen die Langlebigkeit enorm steigern. Die Tasche für das Sicherheitsmesser wurde von der Außenseite auf die im geschlossenen Zustand hinten liegende Klettlasche verlegt. Und um eine einfacher zu erreichende, beidseitige Leash-Aufnahme zu realisieren, haben wir die D-Rings durch austauschbare Tampen ersetzt. Kombiniert mit der Unity-Spreader-Bar oder der für 2022 brandneuen Unity-Mega-Spreader-Bar ermöglicht das Saber eine vollkommen neue Dimension an Tragekomfort.
